The Guiding Light (BLNK-16) is a new joint EP featuring the bass heavy workings of Josh Dahlberg and Secrets, otherwise known as Vacuum or Matt Abbott. Given the restlessness swimming amongst most dance music enthusiasts, The Guiding Light serves as one of the many proverbial roadmaps taking listeners on a journey passed techno and house’s outer limits.

Secrets – Blank Artists, Secret Mixes/Fixes
Secrets is Matt Abbott who also records under the names Vacuum and is part of the group Guys On Drugs (G.O.D.) along with E Spleece and Berliners Seth Troxler & Shaun Reeves. After moving to NYC, Matt started to focus heavily on his Secrets alias, moving the techno sound to the back corner and putting classic & obscure disco and boogie front and center. With his Secrets alias, Matt is known for his floor stomping disco edits, deconstructing loops and chopping vocals, with heavy, thick basslines that destroy dance floors. With upcoming releases on Blank Artists, the well known bootleg edits label Secret Mixes/Fixes, and Brian Gillespie's own Galaxy Sound Company.

Josh Dahlberg – Blank Artists, WDET
In addition to oversight and production detail for Blank Artists, you can now hear Josh broadcast online and over the HD waves of Detroit’s WDET 101.9 The Avenue every Wednesday night. Since starting the show earlier this spring, Babes in Hi Def continues to host guest mixes as well as selections from Josh whose track listings include everything from Silver Apples, Was (Not Was), Roy Ayers, Underworld, and Martin Buttrich. Expect as wide a variety on this night as you would tuning in to BiHD.

Aran Daniels – Proper Modulation
Aran Daniels became addicted to the techno sounds being pumped in nightclubs such as Motor and The Shelter in the 90's. As a DJ, labels such as Perlon and Playhouse have influenced him, never forgetting the Midwest’s techno and house roots. Currently Aran is a resident DJ with Detroit party promoters Proper Modulation and has recently shared the decks with Mikael Stavostrand, Move D, The Juan Maclean, Efdemin, and Holy Ghost!, to name a few.
